Sports Calendar & Announcements

Announcements:

• The City of Glenwood-Recreation Department Announces Summer Swim Fees - Patrons may purchase swim passes at the Municipal Pool at the swimming pool. All fees were set and approved by the City of Glenwood. 
  Fees are as follow:
  Resident Family $70.00 plus tax
  Resident Individual $50.00 plus tax
  Non resident Family $80.00 plus tax
  Non resident Individual $60.00 plus tax
  All pass holders will be checked daily by pool attendants. Family season passes are limited to 5 people per household. Any additional members may be added for an extra $10.00 per person. Questions regarding pool policy or regulations may be directed towards the Pool Manager at 527-3552 or to the Recreation Director at 527-4352.

• The Department of Natural Resources offers a variety of programs and activities. Contact Richard Allensworth at 527-9685 for more information.

• The RSVP volunteer program is for adult retired individuals who can use their skills and knowledge in a variety of ways. Contact Cally Boatwright at 322-6431 for more information.

• Jazzercise Classes are held throughout the week in the basement of Young Vision Care. Call 527-4300 for more information.

• Glenwood Boxing Club, open Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 6PM - 730PM 14 North Walnut (above Frysek's on the Square) No Fees! Ages 8-32 welcome.

• Wildlife observation and various on site programs are available through the Mills County Department of Natural Resources. Contact Richard Allensworth at 527-9685 for more information.

• Midwest Lanes Bowling Center has10 lanes with automatic scoring. Open bowling is held at different times throughout the week. The center also has a lounge, grill and game room. Call 527-9456 for specific information.

• On With Life has outpatient aquatic exercise classes available. Call 527-2689 for more information.

• The Glenwood Lake Park has a 2 mile hiking trail open to the public located behind the amphitheater and museums.

• Martial Arts classes are available at two locations in Glenwood. Call the White Tiger Studio at 527-4429 or Rising Eagle Studio at 527-3350 for more information.

• Daily, monthly and yearly memberships are available at the Glenwood Community Wellness and Recreation Center (the Armory). Call Lu Peverill at 527-5277 or 527-4057 for more information.
