Immunization and Blood Pressure Clinics
by Mills County Public Health Nursing Service

The Mills County Public Health Nursing Service will be holding immunization clinics and blood pressure clinic on:

Friday November 12th 8:30AM - 11:00AM
Saturday November 20th 9:30AM - 11:30AM

Please take current immunization record and social security card with you to receive immunizations.

Immunizations offered include:  
Diphtheria/Tetanus/Pertussis (DTP)
Polio (IPV)
Mumps/Measles/Rubella (MMR)
Haemophilus Influenza Type B (Hib)
Diphtheria/Tetanus (DT)
Hepatitis B (Hep B)
Tetanus (Td)
Varicella (Chickenpox)

Hepatitis B (Hep B) is available for all children up to eighteen (18) years of age at no cost.  Hepatitis B (Hep B) is available for adults at $38.00 per shot (series of 3 shots).

Varicella vaccine (chickenpox) is required for 4-year-olds entering school this fall or 18-month olds attending licensed day-care center.  (At least one dose of the vaccine or a history of having the illness will be required.)  Varicella vaccine is available at no cost to children twelve (12) months to eighteen (18) years.

MMR boosters are required for kindergarten enrollment.  Second boosters for MMR can now be administered at no cost to all children eighteen(18) years and under.

Diphtheria/Tetanus (DT) is another area where boosters are recommended every five (5) - ten years.  Please check you child's / children's immunization records to guarantee-up-to date status of immunizations.

A parent or legal guardian must accompany all children under the age of eighteen (18).  Please bring current immunization record and social security number with you.  It is very important to insure your child's / children's health by following a recommended schedule of immunizations.  Healthy children should receive immunizations at two (2), four (4), six (6), twelve (12), fifteen (15), and eighteen (18) months and at four (4) - six (6) years of age for school.
