Glenwood Youth Receives 2 nd in Figure Eight Competition

Summer heat seemed to slow everyone down last weekend. Everyone, that is, except 16 year old Glenwood resident, Johnnie Weaver.

According to Weaver, helping his father, Johnnie Weaver Sr., prepare cars to enter in the annual figure eight and demolition competitions held at West Fair, has been a tradition since he was eight years old. Until last Saturday, however, Weaver was only a spectator when it came time to race. Read more in Sports.
