The Davies Amphitheater, situated in the beautiful Glenwood Lake Park, offers quality, family entertainment throughout the summer months.  The facility which won the 1981 Iowa Architectural Award for design was left to the people of Glenwood in the estate of the late Mr. Charlie Davies.  In addition to the generosity of Mr. Davies, the amphitheater is supported by the Raymond Thomas Trust and the Friends of the Davies Amphitheater.

The Davies Amphitheater seats 750 people.  It is equipped with dressing rooms, public rest rooms, concession stand and is handicapped accessible.  The facility also has a complete sound system and full theatrical lighting.

Although the amphitheater management schedules regular evenings of entertainment, the facility is also available for rent by the public.  Many area churches have taken advantage of this lovely setting and have held morning services and weddings there.
