The Davies Amphitheater, situated in the beautiful Glenwood Lake Park, offers quality, family entertainment throughout the summer months. The facility which won the 1981 Iowa Architectural Award for design was left to the people of Glenwood in the estate of the late Mr. Charlie Davies. In addition to the generosity of Mr. Davies, the amphitheater is supported by the Raymond Thomas Trust and the Friends of the Davies Amphitheater.
The Davies Amphitheater seats 750 people. It is equipped with dressing rooms, public rest rooms, concession stand and is handicapped accessible. The facility also has a complete sound system and full theatrical lighting.
Although the amphitheater management schedules regular evenings of entertainment, the facility is also available for rent by the public. Many area churches have taken advantage of this lovely setting and have held morning services and weddings there.

Richie Lee and the Fabulous 50’s - Welcome back to the Davies Amphitheater stage, Richie Lee and the Fabulous 50’s. They let us know that The Music Didn’t Die. Performing since the age of 11, Richie is best known for his tribute to Buddy Holly. Eighteen year-old Richie has performed on stage with the Crickets (Buddy Holly’s band), Bobby Vee, the Drifters, the Shirelles, and many of the other early Rock’n Roll bands.
